Brad’s Bracket + From Start Ups to Stars

Madness is Back

March Madness is back, which means so is my UCLA Bruins-induced skyrocketing blood pressure. The first weekend of the tournament has been, quite literally, madness. Other than the Bruins advancing to next week, one of my favorite Cinderella stories of this year’s Madness has been the Saint Peter’s Peacocks, who became just the third No. 15 seed to advance to the Sweet 16. For reference, Kentucky outspent Saint Peter’s Men’s basketball team $18.3 million to $1.6 million. While not great for my own Bracket, I’d say it was pretty good ROI for the Peacocks.

SeeU at NetVU

Archway Computer is thrilled to be attending and exhibiting at this year’s Accelerate! Schedule a time to stop by our booth (#220), where we will be talking about all things insurance tech, and even giving away a ReMarkable to one lucky winner!

Can’t get enough Archway? Join us in celebrating an an amazing conference at our Customer Appreciation Social Hour on Monday, March 28 7:30PM-9:30PM at Peaks Lodge at the Hyatt Regency Denver. After the past couple of tough years we’ve all had, I think we all have earned a well-deserved shot of tequila. RSVP here if you’d like to attend.

We’re so excited to get back to in-person events, and hope to see you there!

Tech Takes TV

The tech world is all the rage on TV right now, with 3 (yes, 3) different shows premiering this month exploring the rise and fall of startup founders, including The Dropout, about Theranos; Super Pumped, about Uber; and WeCrashed, about WeWork. These stories of young entrepreneurs trying to disrupt and change the world, and ultimately falling victim to fraud and bad behavior, make for very compelling television. Sometimes to the point that you can’t believe the events portrayed really happened. My favorite of the trio has to be The Dropout, which, although I know how it ends, has me on the edge of my seat thanks to some fantastic performances.

The Last Word

Happy Spring everyone! I hope you’re all having a great week, filled with hopefully more pleasant weather and perfect brackets (just kidding, none of those exist anymore). As always, thank you for your continued support for this blog, and I’ll back next week. Go Bruins
