Officially Off The Couch

For those of you who have been following along with my running journey the past few months, I’m incredibly proud to announce that I completed my Couch to 5K Challenge! It was definitely hard, but so rewarding to do something I did not think my body was capable of, especially at my age. With the running-bug in full effect, I’m setting my sights on a 10k race next.

If you’ve ever considered starting a fitness adventure of your own, I’m here to tell you if I can do it, so can you! It’s never too late to start running, and the benefits for your health, both physical and mental, are endless. And if you need some tips or encouragement, Coach Brad is here. But sorry in advance if all my motivational quotes come exclusively from Ted Lasso.

Privacy Please

If you’ve ever searched for a pair of shoes, only to have ads for those same shoes pop up on seemingly every site you visited for the next month, you’ve seen the obnoxious side of online tracking. Enter DuckDuckGo: a search engine that pledges not to track you and also keep your search activity anonymous.

The DuckDuckGo Privacy Browser mobile app and Privacy Essentials desktop extension both come with our best-in-class tracker blocker, encryption enforcer, and private search engine – all in one simple package. This gives you all the key privacy protection tools to search and browse privately, curbing the constant monitoring of your Internet activity by companies like Google and Facebook.

Sales Sleuthing

For you sales geeks out there, here is the opposite: Meet Zoominfo. The amount of information you can get is truly amazing – Once you know a prospect’s name the world is your oyster. It allows you to source and cross-reference your existing contact list of companies and their staff, along with organizations to whom you are seeking to connect with, finding their direct dials, email addresses, extensions, etc. Personally, it completely streamlines the research process and saves me so much time in my hectic day.

A Love Letter To My Favorite Pancakes

While I try to ensure the recommendations in my blog are accessible to all my loyal readers, this one is very geographically specific. Having celiac, I consider myself a gluten-free foodie connoisseur. So when I recently had the best GF pancakes in my life, I felt it was my duty to share this revelation with you all. Enter: Swinger’s Diner. Located in West Hollywood, California, the 30 year-old diner is serving some of the best, reasonably-priced, delicious, organic food to the neighborhood. It’s not often a breakfast item impacts your life to this magnitude, but consider me a changed man.

The Last Word

That’s it for this week’s Brad’s Blog! A friendly reminder that if you ever want to chat on Zoom, or even meet for some pancakes, you can self-schedule a time to connect here: 30 Minute Discussion. Your first short-stack is on me. Have a great week!
