Welcome Back Football Fans + Magical Mineral Water

Apple All Mighty

Not to sound like a conspiracy theorist, but year after year I always feel like my iPhone starts slowing down conveniently around the same time that Apple has a big new product announcement.

So while I haven’t totally ruled out that the Apple Gods are trying to tell me something, there are usually are various other reasons why your iPhone might be slowing down. Things such as insufficient memory, too many background processes, outdated software, etc can make your device unbearably inefficient. But luckily, there are many tips you can try to speed it up. And if those don’t work, hopefully you have an upgrade coming up around September 14th. I’m onto you, Tim Cook.

All Aboard The Bruin Bandwagon

College football is back baby! And if you know me, you know my love for the UCLA Bruins is strong – much stronger than my vocal cords apparently, which totally gave out on me by the 3rd quarter of Saturday’s game. The Rose Bowl was filled with fans for the first time in nearly 2 years, and it was absolutely roaring as we beat favored LSU. The blue and gold cherry on top? It only took 1,458 days, but UCLA is back in the AP poll, making its first appearance in the ranking since Sept. 2017.

Sparkling Sensation

Call me a millennial cliché — but I’ve always loved sparkling water. From La Croix to the generic brands, I was never picky with the type or flavor, as long as my fridge was stocked with the stuff. That is, until I tried Topo Chico.

For those of you who are unfamiliar with the bubbly magic that is Topo Chico (and presumably are not from the great state of Texas where it is beloved), the best way I can describe it is just simply the best sparkling water you’ve ever tasted, in the most aesthetically pleasing glass bottle you’ve ever held or looked at. And as if TC couldn’t get any better, they recently launched a line of Hard Seltzers too.
