Travel Like a Local
There’s no doubt this holiday travel season will be far busier than 2020 – We’re already seeing significant momentum around international and domestic flight searches, which are up nearly 200% since this time last year.
As an avid traveller myself, I suggest making the most of your long-awaited trip by booking a local tour guide. I’ve used Tours By Locals on some of my most recent trips, and love the experience of being shown a new place by someone who knows the area, language, and culture. Not only that, but the guides can even help create your itinerary, arrange your accommodations, and transportation, while offering valuable tips on where and what to eat, what to enjoy and what to avoid.
Ring Leader
I know I’m not alone in my Apple Watch activity ring obsession: Nothing feels more satisfying than closing the rings, meeting the move goal, the stand goal, the step goal, etc.
That said, the Apple Watch has come a long way since its launch more than five years ago. From trendy, high-quality fashion bands (including my favorite, stainless steel gold watch band) to the selection of third-party apps, the Apple Watch has grown significantly beyond just tracking your everyday movements. Check out this list of Apple Watch features you may not know about, and get moving!
Millennial Moment – Fall Edition
What’s not to love about Fall? From pumpkin spice everything, to the start of crisp, cool weather, I have no shame in fully leaning in to this cozy season. Here are some millennial-approved Autumn must-haves to take anyone’s Fall obsession to the next level:
- Pumpkin Chai Scented Candle: NEST candles are some of the highest, long-lasting candles on the market, and their Pumpkin Chai scent is one of the best. This candle fills my house with rich, warm pumpkin and spice, like I’ve been baking treats all day. The smell is so welcoming and guests always compliment it.
- Jumbo Mugs & Mushroom Hot Cacao: There’s nothing I love more after a long day than curling up on the couch with a giant, and I mean GIANT, mug filled with a warm tea or hot chocolate. I love not only the look of these clear mugs, but also that they really keep my drink staying warm.
- If you’re partial to sleepy tea like I am, but want something with a little more flavor, I absolutely love the Four Sigmatic Mushroom Hot Cacao Mix. It is made with Reishi Mushroom (Don’t worry, you can’t taste it!) which helps reduces anxiety, stress and relaxes the body. Also it is just so cozy and delicious. Their Reishi Chai Tea Latte is also fantastic.
- Barefoot Dreams Socks: If you love all things cozy and haven’t felt Barefoot Dreams fabric yet, run, don’t walk. Whether you bundled up in one of their iconic throw blankets, or keeping your feet warm with their fuzzy socks, you will feel like you are wrapped in a cloud. Their products are pricey, but will last you for years. They also make great, thoughtful gifts. (Hint – sometimes they go on major sale at Nordstrom Rack!)
Amateur iPhone Photographer
Despite how incredible our iPhone cameras are, many of us, (myself included) still manage to take crappy photos. Check out these tips on how you can correct your iPhone camera settings to ensure the highest quality image possible.
